[00:03:19.400]
That’s actually probably pretty accurate Unlimited soft serve ice cream.
[00:03:23.700]
So the boys would just go to the machine and just start this I mean as soon as we got on the boat before I left the dock they were eating ice cream cones Oh, you could eat and you’re usually very like Controlled of what they eat, but at that you were like eat whatever you want Oh, yeah, we’re on vacation might as well cut loose and have some fun So they did and Boeing ate like the minute steaks every day minute steaks Which are like thin steaks and hamburgers and what did you like to eat the most you like the hamburgers?

[00:05:06.500]
Yeah That’s true, what are some things that you think mom and dad teach you that are making you guys Responsible what are some of the responsibilities you have? Well, that’s very true. We talked about reading a lot on here Baker How many books have you read this year Baker? What are some of your favorite books you’re reading or that you have read?
[00:05:40.600]
Magic tree house and And total twins How about you Vinaya you have been reading your Bible every night for months now? So what book of the Bible are you in now?
[00:05:57.600]
Did you start in Genesis so tell us what books you’ve read so far Pretty good for a seven -year -old.
[00:06:12.600]
Yeah, he just reads sometimes. He’ll read a chapter at night But if we get in bed late, well, he’s like how much do I need to read tonight? And sometimes it’s five verses, right? Sometimes it’s like well just read this page, but he is he is on his good way.
[00:06:28.700]
I’m reading his Bible this year Is there anything you’ve read in your Bible that you’ve learned? That you want to share?
[00:06:38.100]
No? Okay. I know how that goes.
[00:06:42.500]
What do you look forward to doing this summer while you’re out of school? We’re going to the Bahamas at the end of May. You’re looking forward to that, aren’t you? That’s our summer trip. The Bahamas. Both of you.
[00:07:02.400]
It’s going to be fun.
[00:07:03.300]
It is going to be fun.
[00:07:05.000]
You guys talking about being able to swim with the sharks?
[00:07:08.500]
Yeah.
[00:07:09.300]
Or in the, what is it, a water slide?
[00:07:11.700]
A water slide and it’s see -through.
[00:07:14.000]
So, the shark dance.
[00:07:15.400]
Are we going on a cruise there? No, we just fly to the Bahamas and stay there. And do the water park and have fun. How many days are we going to stay? Six nights.
[00:07:26.700]
Six nights. What else are you going to ask these two?
[00:07:31.100]
You guys are doing really good. Baker, I would like for you to share about, as a wrestler, you’ve gone to state the last two years. What does that feel like?
[00:07:42.700]
It feels really good. It feels like a good accomplishment. And I’ve been looking forward to it because every year we make goals to do. And my goal was to make it to state, and I made it.
[00:07:57.100]
That’s right. What does it feel like when you’re there? Just knowing like, hey, I’m one of the top wrestlers in the state. How does that feel?
[00:08:06.700]
It feels really good, and it hypes me up for my wrestling matches.
[00:08:11.900]
It hypes you up? Yeah, for sure. What does it take to get to that level, to be able to make it to the state tournament? What do you have to put into that to get there?
[00:08:21.400]
Practice.
[00:08:23.900]
Is it just like one day of practice? That’s right, it’s a lot of practice to get there, right? Yeah Benaiah, I would say the best word I could use to describe you is you’re an individual You are you march to the beat of your own drum and you’re just funny Even though you don’t even try to be funny a lot of times, right? What do you think is something in your life that you just feel like is the most important to you Can you give me the three most important things to you in your life? Standing up for people
[00:09:13.900]
Having fun having fun.
[00:09:16.200]
Okay, one more And going on trips Okay, that’s great So both of you have already made the decision in your life to give your life to Jesus and you’ve both been baptized What did that feel like?
[00:09:40.600]
It was good.
[00:09:42.400]
It felt like it was good. I believe it felt good. Yeah What do you guys what have you learned that when? Maybe you make a wrong decision in your life and and you know, it was wrong How does that make you feel and how do you want to make better choices?
[00:10:08.400]
You can answer the night Yeah, yeah, I feel like to know that you’re not supposed to do that and Learn from your mistakes, right?
[00:10:34.600]
What’s your favorite thing about your dad?
[00:10:47.700]
He’s gonna make me play it tonight probably.
[00:10:50.200]
It’s a special game and Benaiah loves games, card games, learning games. He is in it.
[00:10:58.500]
Yeah and cash flow for kids, if y ‘all don’t know what that is you should look it up, but it teaches kids how to buy assets and not liabilities and it teaches them that you know putting things on credit cards and taking out bank loans for stuff is not good and that rental houses or buying Oklahoma Grassfed Beef businesses or starting a Oklahoma Grassfed Beef business is good and the goal of the game is to you know build your income up higher than your liabilities and so it’s a really fun easy game. There’s a kid’s version and there’s an adult version but we play the kids and it’s good.
[00:11:33.700]
That’s great. How about you Baker? What’s your favorite thing about your dad?
[00:11:38.000]
Well I like how he sometimes wakes me up in the morning to work out and
[00:11:46.800]
Yeah, yeah, you like working out with dad Yeah, dad likes to work out. Yeah That’s good. What is your favorite thing about your mom? I was gonna let dad ask it but he’s not asking So I’ll just ask you. What’s your favorite thing about your mom? Well, that’s important, you know mom loves you no matter what yeah You guys have done good answering questions you guys have done so good I’ve dealt been I I think the main thing that his word Is he’s an individual and I think Baker’s what his I think his word is like he’s very tenacious Baker’s strong tough and he’s gritty
[00:12:36.600]
Yeah, so you guys are such special boys.
[00:12:40.100]
We’re so thankful.
[00:12:41.200]
What? It means you’re tough And everything you do we love both of you guys. We’re so proud of you.
[00:12:48.400]
Thank you for being on the podcast So we have our first born and second born with us our only daughter and our first son So as you guys probably know birth order makes a huge difference on the way our children Think act and behave and that is certainly The case for our family we can tell such a huge difference in the way our first and second borns Live their lives and their personalities based on their birth order. So These two coming from a large family like we have have certainly taken on the task of being very responsible
[00:13:30.400]
We can count on them, they’re very great helpers, but they’re also just really great people and we’re so proud of them. So introduce yourself and tell us how old you are.
[00:13:43.000]
My name is Bowen, I’m the second born son.
[00:13:46.400]
You’re the first born son.
[00:13:47.500]
Oh yes, first born son, second born in the family and I’m 12 years old. Hi, I’m Riley and I’m the first born, also the only girl and I’m 13.
[00:13:57.900]
That’s right.
[00:13:58.700]
That’s good. Well, you guys tell us, I think people want to know, coming from a large family, being the oldest kids, what is your favorite part of being part of a large family?
[00:14:11.400]
Well, you got like.
[00:14:13.000]
all these little siblings and it’s like they’re always looking up to you so it’s like they’re all you always are striving to be better so that way they are better because whatever they do people look at you and they think that that’s what you do because they look up to you.
[00:14:31.900]
That’s a beautiful thing to do.
[00:14:34.300]
I don’t know how to imagine that.
[00:14:39.500]
Also being the oldest it’s like you’re second mom in the family so it’s like all the boys are like my own and I like treating them like I have mine too because I get to take care of them when you’re gone and I like seeing how they look up to me. They do.
[00:14:57.100]
Yeah you are like their second mom.
[00:14:59.300]
We always tell people the littles love you two more than anyone in the world and they look up to you they love you how does that
[00:15:09.900]
I mean, it feels pretty good. I mean, it’s pretty funny too though because You know, it’s like whatever we do that’s exactly what they do and like they just they want to emulate you Yeah Which is pretty special.
[00:15:27.400]
Mm -hmm. So How have you guys? Seen our family change as it’s grown. Do you have an answer for that?
[00:15:40.700]
Say whatever comes to your mind.
[00:15:43.100]
It’s like as we’ve grown it’s just gotten like crazier and crazier Y ‘all are crazy ranch
[00:15:53.500]
The more of us the louder the ass is like we started off. It’s pretty quiet. Just me and Bradley then here comes Baker and it’s just Here comes benign all you hear is laughing punch and slap in all that comes borrow the whole year is crying and talking Brants and he’s he’ll find anybody. He don’t care the size And then Baxter He’s all you hear is a From stomping across the floor running around the house It just gets louder and louder and louder And right now it’s a very small house true it’s even louder yeah, so what do you guys look forward to in our new house?
[00:16:44.200]
Have a mom room. Yep You guys haven’t really had your own room much in your life I’ve had my own room one time and I was probably eight years old and I had that for like a year That was about it Yeah.
[00:16:57.800]
Yeah, so throughout you guys lifetime We have moved several times and you don’t remember our first house where you guys are both actually born You don’t even really remember our second house. You do remember our third house the White House on Rockwell with the pond And you remember the last house where we lived in our Luther on our 40 acres and you remember the little rental house So I moved to when we first moved to Chandler In Thacker. Yeah, and then you remember the cabin we live in now, of course And then we’re going to be in our new house. So you guys have experienced a lot of moves
[00:17:34.900]
in your lifetime right? A lot. Are you excited to be in our new home that we are building and and what makes you excited about that?
[00:17:47.100]
I say this is the most time I’ve been excited to move because every other time it’s like I’m moving away from all my friends or it’s like it’s just gonna be really different but now we’re going to the same school we’re not moving very far it’s gonna be a bigger better house. True.
[00:18:06.400]
I’m just looking forward to my own room and it’s nice that the house is gonna be like how we designed it. It’s not gonna be like how someone else designed it and it’s gonna be how we like it and yeah I guess.
[00:18:20.800]
It’s gonna be like we made this house so it’s like how we want it it’s not gonna be like
[00:18:26.500]
Man, I wish they would have designed this house a little bit different when we bought it or something like that. We designed it how we want it.
[00:18:33.500]
That’s right. So I want you guys to each, I’m going to ask you some individual questions. And we told you guys some things we’re going to talk about. So you’ve kind of prepared, but you don’t have notebooks in front of you. You’re just talking, right? So I wanted to talk to Bowen about state wrestling this year. You know, last year, you did not make the state tournament. You got beat out in regionals and you were very devastated about that.
[00:18:57.900]
Yeah.
[00:18:58.400]
And so this year after that, you said, I am making it to state next year. So what has the last year looked like to prepare for state and to make it this year?
[00:19:10.000]
Well it was like when I didn’t make it to state that one year it completely like made me like really sad really devastated and everything and that set up like a ladder for me for me to climb up and up and up and I’m trying to keep climbing that ladder and getting to the top so it was like over the summer you know we’d go to the gym every morning we’d work out set the sauna school started and I just started to actually love what dad had been teaching me about exercise working out so I got my own alarm clock set it for five in the morning and I work out every morning cook mom breakfast and it’s usually something healthy like eggs or all that trying to you know just grow and grow and grow wrestling practice two times a week going all out just making myself better even if it’s hard
[00:20:04.300]
Because pain is temporary, but hard work is everlasting And what happened to this year at regionals you had to place top six Originals to make it to stay.
[00:20:19.400]
So how did that feel it felt amazing after like all that hard work It’s just like literally a proof hard work always pays off Like it’s not like you’re ever gonna work hard your whole life for the nothing is gonna go for you Something is gonna go good for you if you work hard Yeah, that’s really good that was so exciting when you placed and we knew okay he secured his spot at state Man, that was really exciting Yeah, and dad was jumping up and down down there on the mat Crying in the stands.
[00:20:56.600]
Yeah, it was just a really it was exciting to see you put so much hard work in and then for that to pay off
[00:21:03.200]
Yeah, we were so proud of you and Briley same thing for you. You had to work hard to make the junior high cheer team last year yeah, and 50 % of the girls that tried out did not make it so How did that feel to work hard to accomplish something and then to get that?
[00:21:23.000]
Talking tonight, okay Well, I’ve been like going to tumbling every every Monday night trying to get like my back handspring because I feel like if I definitely have like a spot on the team And so I really had it like locked it in but we had two trance that night So I just went out there and I just threw it I just threw it and I ended up doing it and I landed it perfectly. It looked really good And so I got my spot on the team and it felt really good to work to be there because I’ve been scared
[00:21:58.500]
Because you’re trying not to be on a team with 22 girls trying out and only like 10 of you were gonna make it Yeah, so I was always like kind of scared. I was just like God, I hope I can make it on this team You got to walk with me through this and don’t let me break myself trying to do this back in spring and It felt really good after I got there that night and saw my name on a little star up there in the window And it just felt amazing.
[00:22:20.800]
That’s so good. That’s that’s good, too It’s a good feeling to work hard for something and then accomplish it Yeah, so something we do with all of our kids at the beginning of the year is have them write out goals for themselves and then we Review those kind of in the middle of the year usually and then at the end of the year So what are some goals that you guys have set for yourself that you’re seeing yourself achieve?
[00:22:46.000]
Well, one of my goals is to medal at State and it’s really like this year I’m trying to keep on climbing that ladder I was talking about and Mom and dad kind of said they’d go for me to win State this year That’s like my main goal.
[00:23:04.300]
Yeah, what else other than wrestling?
[00:23:07.500]
Um, well, I want to try to read like 20 or so books this year try to you know Work on reading more and all that making straight A’s making straight A’s trying to read my Bible every day Something I love about you Bowen is your love for discipling others and just your love for Jesus What is that like discipling other kids your age and how have you been able to do that?
[00:23:37.300]
Well, so a lot of kids that I’ve discipled they’ve never even heard of Jesus like The first kid he was a Buddhist The second kid he never even heard the name Jesus before The third kid he was all the way from California. So it was like It’s hard, but if you just keep on talking to them about it and everything eventually don’t ask questions and God will talk to them. He’s gonna help you out.
[00:24:09.300]
It’s not It’s hard, but it’s not as hard as you think it will be because God is there to help you out through it all That’s right You know and then you know something we’ll talk about like the public school system and being around certain types of kids or something like that and as Christians that can be a difficult situation to put
[00:24:30.200]
Kids into sometimes but as parents, you know we want to try to equip our kids to where they can be a light for Jesus in schools and not be scared to talk to other kids about Jesus and hopefully lead some of them to Christ and and so These both of them have done a great job in that I think Absolutely.
[00:24:51.300]
I think that’s a hard choice for every parent because for us It’s hard for us to know our kids are going to be around Darkness and they’re going to be exposed to things we wish they weren’t and they’re going to hear things We wish they wouldn’t for us We’ve just chosen to trust God and pray every day that they can be lights for him That they can be lights in the darkness and that God would use them and he’s absolutely Doing that right? So Riley, what do you think about the goals you’ve had for this year?
[00:25:24.000]
Well, I also set a goal to make the cheer team again this year, and I’ll be trying out later this month. And I’ve also put down on my list to read like 20 or so books. And to, you know, eat healthier. Sometimes that’s something I struggle with because I have a sweet tooth, like a really bad sweet tooth.
[00:25:45.100]
But I’m trying to get better at that, okay?
[00:25:46.400]
Yeah, it’s not like you eat candies very much or anything. Yeah, it’s not.
[00:25:49.800]
Cookies and bagels.
[00:25:53.600]
Well now, Mom taught her how to make cookies.
[00:25:56.800]
That is so true.
[00:25:59.700]
And she makes like the best homemade cookies ever. You know, the Crisco.
[00:26:03.700]
And that came from my mom.
[00:26:04.900]
The chocolate chips.
[00:26:05.800]
So I’m just passing down the tradition.
[00:26:08.500]
And the marathons. And now one day they can make them, which is dangerous. I come home and now there’s…
[00:26:12.700]
More cookies We love cookies in this family, okay? It’s like cookies one day, brownies the next day, pumpkin muffins the next day Something I love about both of you is you’re not afraid to stand up for your faith and you’re not afraid to be different You know, what has encouraged you to do that? How do you do that every day?
[00:26:39.700]
Well, something that kind of encourages me is like this life here on earth is not your life forever Heaven is where your life is forever And it’s like there is really no point in being scared for your faith because your faith is what carries you through your whole life
[00:26:58.000]
Joshua 1 9 be strong and courageous do not be afraid or discouraged for the lord your god is with you wherever you go so god is there to help you out like i said earlier it’s not just you he’s with you everywhere you go so true how about you sis um you know sometimes everybody doesn’t want to be like the odd one out in the crowd and you always want to fit in doing the latest like fashion trends and however the dress is or acts how they pretend to be in school or whatever they do but sometimes it’s better to be in the right crowd and surround yourself like with the right people because if you surround yourself with along with the bad people who want to be like want to be people who are bad but it’s just not good because you’re going to become someone like that and you don’t really want to become someone like that so it’s better to be different and be in that different crowd with the right people who love jesus who
[00:27:58.100]
Go to church on Sundays. Go to church every Wednesday night. It’s just better to surround yourself with people like that.
[00:28:06.300]
So You don’t have to be different alone, but you need to find yourself like the right crowd you can be different with What have you guys learned from mom and dad throughout your life because you guys are 12 and 13 now So you’ve been with mom and dad for a while What have you learned from mom and dad?
[00:28:29.600]
Well from dad, I’ve really learned like how to really be like a man like, you know, how to love I think dad Dad is crying over you I just see tears keep coming up in his eyes Okay, keep going Moe Well, he’s taught me to like love hunting love fishing. That’s what I’ve done my whole life like
[00:28:55.200]
Like we have videos on dad’s phone and be saying let’s go fishing like I always love to go Do stuff that dad loves to do shoot guns hunt fish work out all that Yeah, and then like with mom mom’s like always around me She’s just taught me to be like always talking to people Mom has definitely taught me to be the different one in the crowd, so she’s always She’s always taught me.
[00:29:34.100]
It’s okay to stand out. Why don’t you put this in your hair? You can look so Beautiful dress instead She’s the one teaching me to stand out and be the different one in the crowd which
[00:29:48.800]
Sometimes it looks like I’m not thankful for, but I always am thankful for. Oh, thank you, Sissy.
[00:29:54.700]
That’s good.
[00:29:55.700]
You guys, I might cry. And you’re making us cry, too. Okay. My dad has always taught me, oh my gosh. That’s okay.
[00:30:06.600]
We did not expect to all cry today. This is weird for our family. We don’t cry. Oh my gosh. So what do you guys, at this point in your life, as a 12 and a 13 year old, what do you think you want to do with your life? Like, what do you want to do as you get older and as you become an adult? What’s your goals, your plans?
[00:30:29.700]
Well, so some of my plans are, you know, like just kind of follow in my dad’s footsteps.
[00:30:40.000]
I kind of want to become a state farm ranger just like him you know take on that just follow in my parents footsteps. What else? Well um when I grow up I kind of want to be like the youth wrestling coach. I feel like that’d be like a fun job coach Chandler Youth Wrestling. I think it’d be a really fun job to get to you know teach little kids how to wrestle and all that it’s so fun.
[00:31:09.700]
We’ve talked about maybe trying to take coach Shane’s spot one day when you get older right?
[00:31:15.700]
Yep.
[00:31:16.100]
Or coach alongside him if he still wants to.
[00:31:18.500]
Yeah if he still wants to be his partner. I’ll coach her alongside him. Yeah you talked about coaching youth football and baseball too. Yeah. So your mom and dad want you to stay here live by us. Marry a really good woman who loves Jesus, loves your mom and
[00:31:35.000]
You have your children and coach sports around I know you have a really strong heart also for Reaching people for the Lord. So in some capacity do you want to do some kind of ministry?
[00:31:48.300]
Yeah, probably like Wednesday night services. I could help teach a class like Maybe on Sundays I could help teach like a Sunday school class or be a pastor just I wanna you know faith family financial fun I love that Owen.
[00:32:07.300]
I’ve never heard you say that before What’s what’s funny and maybe you guys have picked this up on our kids Bowen Obviously looks up to his dad tremendously But he’s a lot like his mom Personality wise he is a lot like his mom Riley
[00:32:28.600]
She’s a lot more like her dad personality -wise and we laugh about that a lot. Both sides of us come out in each of them. Both sides of us come out in each of them, but we pick up on that. That’s what’s fun as a parent.
[00:32:44.100]
That’s fun. And it’s fun seeing each kid and how they take after certain qualities of the parent. They’re all different, but we see ourselves in each one of them in their own ways. That’s always fun.
[00:32:57.000]
Bradley, what about you? What are your plans for your life as a 13 -year -old? I’ve told you guys before, me and dad are not doing most of what we have plans to do, but some of it is. What are your plans right now?
[00:33:12.800]
I’m thinking I really like design, so I think I might want to become an interior designer and help people design their dream home like how we’re designing our dream home right now.
[00:33:23.300]
Other than like Oklahoma Grassfed Beef business, I want to grow a very good man and build a good family so have few kids just build a good life like y ‘all have taught me to and So at this point in your life you guys growing up in a big family how many kids do you think you want to have Four. Yeah, as I was to say four three four five one of them is three Which is a large family.
[00:33:54.500]
Yeah, both of you want that which is exciting A bunch of Oklahoma Grassfed Beef grandkids, that’s me and dad’s gold.
[00:34:01.700]
I have a bunch of grandkids. Yeah, we can have like 30 of them. I think that’d be fantastic
[00:34:06.300]
That would be awesome.
[00:34:08.400]
You know we can each have seven. Oh, we have grandkids.
[00:34:13.200]
Wow. That’s amazing.
[00:34:17.100]
Y ‘all are going to be broke during Christmas.
[00:34:20.700]
That is true.
[00:34:22.500]
We will. I think it would be amazing.
[00:34:25.300]
Wider lens. What are you guys, some of your favorite traditions that we do as a family? Cakewalk.
[00:34:34.100]
Like Vinay and Baker saying our every year vacations. How we always gather with cousins and other grandparents, family members on Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving. Like we’re all used to our family. We love our family.
[00:34:52.100]
We’re just oh, we’re together a lot.
[00:34:55.700]
Yeah, you like that for our traditions. Yeah What do you guys look forward to doing this summer?
[00:35:02.500]
the Bahamas some wrestling camps football camps Going to the Oklahoma Grassfed Beef pool and painting fence I’m definitely looking forward to cake Hawaii.
[00:35:27.200]
I love cake Hawaii and I’m also looking forward to the basketball camps that I’m gonna do so I can get better at basketball and come back better next year And we’re also gonna go to cheer camp Because I’m pretty sure I’m gonna make the team this year this year. I have confidence. I am so I’m gonna cheer camp and Definitely looking forward to the pool and Yeah
[00:35:49.900]
Some of the things I’m looking forward to is like our church camps that we do every summer because those are also Really fun.
[00:35:57.300]
I just kind of forgot but yeah What are some routines that you guys have established for yourself that has really helped you?
[00:36:07.200]
Yeah morning routine evening routine well So kind of my daily routine is like I get up five in the morning You know I get on like my workout clothes and I’ll do like a Workout in the living room or something try to be quiet as I can, but usually isn’t very quiet Which I try to be quiet there too, I don’t know if that’s quiet but sometimes it is sometimes it isn’t After I make eggs. I’ll go like into the bathroom and I’ll brush my teeth and all that Go back into the bedroom and read my Bible
[00:36:46.900]
and then I’ll go pack my lunch and then that’s about the time where we go wake up Baker, Benaiah, Barlow, 650 and then we get ready get on the bus go to school get back from school around four usually about an hour and then we got some sports practice like baseball or football or wrestling whatever season we’re in. That’s good. How about you sis?
[00:37:12.900]
I don’t really have a routine I just get up and try and get things done but for my evening routine I always try and make a goal to journal before I go to bed so I’ve been like really into journaling right now.
[00:37:25.500]
Me too.
[00:37:26.400]
This past like two weeks maybe. Really into journaling so I just like write down what I’ve learned for the day what I’m looking forward for the next day and just like my plans for the week.
[00:37:38.500]
And I actually, I’ve been trying to get that done because I feel like, and I like like looking back maybe because my journal, I haven’t wrote very much so my first Oklahoma Grassfed Beef page was like from about two years ago maybe and I just like looking back and seeing what I did, how my days went back then and just like what I was writing down like maybe like my prayer request or something and how those things have come true for me and like to see how much I’ve grown from the past. It’s just nice getting to look back on that and getting to look back and just see how things went back then and how they go back, going through right now. Yeah, that’s really good, sis. Yeah.
[00:38:17.900]
That’s good.
[00:38:18.600]
Do you have questions for them? No, I’ve been asked them a lot of questions. You guys have done so good. Is there anything else you guys want to say or talk about?
[00:38:27.200]
Maybe something that would help other kids or…
[00:38:29.400]
How are you age? Well like a lot of kids like their day to day routine is like get up I don’t really want breakfast I’m just gonna go back to sleep real quick get up have five minutes to get ready for school go to school get home play video games go to sleep but it’s like for your life you really need a good routine like you don’t always have to wake up early in the morning work out eat healthy but like at least try to start off your day good because when you start off your day good the rest of your day usually goes by better like if
[00:39:13.700]
Sometimes like I have like an injury or something from working out and I don’t work out in the morning because of that injury It’s like I was trying to teach him to listen to his body and if something hurts you just you have to rest it Yeah, so it’s like sometimes even if you aren’t hurting you just don’t feel like doing it you go on the rest of your day And you’re just kind of tired because you aren’t because your body just doesn’t have the right energy that you need So I’m just saying like you don’t have to work out He’ll feel that but just try to establish a good morning routine start your day off. Well Yeah, like by like reading your Bible prayer
[00:39:54.200]
just like drinking a glass of water or something will help your body just have the energy that it needs that’s right start your day off well start your day off well finish your day off well and try not to go to bed at like three in the morning yeah but I’m just saying yeah get a good night’s sleep yeah because rest is where you grow rest is where you grow okay Briley last what last thoughts for you I don’t really have anything but just like what I said earlier different is good so you don’t always have to be trying to fit in with with all the popular kids in the school and just trying to be like them because
[00:40:40.700]
Sometimes I don’t think you’re gonna like how you turn out if you hang out with them because I know popular kids are kids who do bad stuff and Think they’re all so cool for doing it, but you’ll regret it later.
[00:40:51.800]
So do not do it So you don’t have to be different alone, but you can be different with other people So I want to ask one more thing me and dad really try to pour into you guys about positive thinking and mom Always tells you guys just be happy where you are and wherever you are is where God’s put you There’s no need to be negative. You might as well be positive there. Yeah, what do you guys think about that?
[00:41:16.300]
Well, it’s like even if you’re in a bad spot, it’s like They’re like it don’t be negative because that just makes it worse Like if you’re positive it usually like brings up your mood brings up your energy Like I’ll say and start off your morning positive
[00:41:33.100]
But it’s like, if you’re just in a spot where you’re tired, not feeling well, just try to think positive, like, if you’re not feeling well, like, just think, like, well, God’s with me here, so, like, I don’t really need to be negative, because whatever happens, it’s God’s plan, let it happen. What’s that one saying? It is well with my soul. There you go. Even if I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you are with me.
[00:42:09.000]
I’ve been telling you guys, I’ve been telling Bo as a baby that he’s going to be a preacher, so you can see that come out in him. And I don’t know if he’ll be like a preacher as his vocation, but he’s going to be involved in ministry. Yeah. So, God just gave him a heart for that.
[00:42:24.700]
Briley will also be involved. I’ve seen Briley grows so much in the last year even She used to be very shy and she would not she would not have done this a year ago. I don’t think No, and you know, she’s really just grown so much and she’s flourishing and so confident sitting here and talking So how has positivity helped you in your life?
[00:42:52.100]
I’m definitely like I’ve gotten more positive because of you because I was like being positive skills, yeah Being positive was like being negative because I at school or just at places There’s always negativity like I remember being before our basketball team We would play everybody like we can’t win this game. Gosh. These kids are like really good I’m just like well if you say you can’t then you can’t so you gotta be like I can’t so I can Yeah
[00:43:21.500]
You got to think positive. I always remind people to be positive because I don’t like being around the negativity because You don’t want to be around someone who’s just like I can’t all the time or just being Negative about stuff because it’s not fun to hang out with people like that So I want to try and make myself a person that people think that I’m positive and that they want to be around That way I’m not trying to drive people away by my name and the negativity Keeping my negativity myself my positive self out so people can see my positive self not my negative side.
[00:43:55.100]
That’s so good I have one last question. Everybody wants to know tell me about your mom’s porch goose No, I just want to test if it can fly
[00:44:12.800]
He really just wants to break it. Yeah What does everybody else think your mom’s a weirdo Peacock three porch tortoise Longhorn She’s a bunny You see our new bunny on the porch I’m like, no
[00:45:08.400]
